First Taste of Absinthe brings together three approachable Swiss absinthes, each chosen to introduce a different aspect of the spirit.

Rather than increasing in strength, this tasting explores three different flavour directions, from light and rounded to spicy and gently bitter, making it an ideal introduction to the diversity of absinthe.

1. 55 55%:
Fresh, light, sweet and rounded, 55 is the most accessible of the three and an excellent first encounter with absinthe. Its gentle character makes it easy to approach while introducing the traditional aromatic profile of a Swiss blanche.

2. La Belle Époque 54%:
A classic born from the clandestine tradition of the Val-de-Travers, La Belle Époque introduces a more pronounced spicy character. Its label features the famous Guguss absinthe poster, connecting the bottle to the imagery and history surrounding the spirit.

3. La Véritable 55%:
The most complex expression of the set. Made with plants from La Brévine, La Véritable introduces the characteristic herbal bitterness that can give absinthe greater depth and structure, while remaining approachable for a newcomer.

Together, the three reveal that there is no single “absinthe taste.” Sweet and fresh, spicy or herbal and bitter: this set is designed to help you discover the style that suits you.
