It all began in 1992, at a flea market in Normandy, with the discovery of a simple absinthe spoon. More than thirty years later, Patrick Roussel has become one of the leading collectors in the world of the Green Fairy: absinthe spoons, antique and uranium glasses, fountains, advertising carafes, lithographed posters, and rare or unique pieces.
Together with his son Quentin, who took up the passion some fifteen years ago, he now presents ABSINTHE – Trésors et confidences d'une collection. The book is the result of years of research and documentation, and offers the shared perspective of a father and son on a remarkable heritage of objects, art, craftsmanship and memory.
