Saturday 17 May — an evening of the senses at the heart of the Green Fairy

For the Night of Museums 2025, the Maison de l’Absinthe invites you to an immersive and unprecedented experience around this drink emblematic of the Val-de-Travers. From clandestine distilling to the poetry of ritual, plunge into a fascinating sensory journey in which the Green Fairy reveals herself through your five senses…

Special programme: “Fée Sens” — absinthe through the five senses

A free, interactive trail awaits you throughout the evening:

  • Sight – shadows and light: a dreamlike light installation, echoing the visions once ascribed to absinthe.
  • Hearing – murmurs of the clandestine years: listen to the poignant audio testimony of former producers and voices from the past.
  • Smell – the aroma laboratory: will you recognise the plants typical of absinthe? Test your nose in our participatory olfactory workshop.
  • Taste – blind tasting: let the flavours of absinthe guide you through a mixology workshop.
  • Touch – textures of the Green Fairy: handle absinthe in our clandestine space.

Live concert: SIZe & VinZ (electro rock)

Stéphane Mercier on the machines and Vincent Boillat on drums close the evening with an immersive, electrifying performance.

Dinner with absinthe aromas — CHF 100.- per person

To make the pleasure last:

  • Starter, main course and dessert with flavours inspired by absinthe
  • Tasting of 3 absinthes
  • Small specialities to nibble
  • Free visit of the museum
  • Return shuttle to Le Locle at midnight

Limited number of places — registration required.
