Distival is a small artisanal distillery based in Fleurier, in the Val-de-Travers, the historic cradle of absinthe. Founded by Thierry Guizzardi, the distillery forms part of a new generation of producers who have embraced the revival of absinthe following its re-legalization in Switzerland in 2005. Rooted in the valley where the spirit first flourished, the distillery continues a local tradition that once survived decades of prohibition through clandestine production and the quiet transmission of knowledge.
Working from the Distillerie de la Raisse, Thierry Guizzardi established Distival with the aim of crafting absinthes that reflect the identity of the region.
